Dermatologists treat patients for a variety of skin conditions, both chronic and acute, including skin cancers, psoriasis, infections, and inflammatory processes.

Purita Villanueva, M.D., M.P.H., joined McHenry Medical Group in January 2007 after working for the practice as a contracted physician for 2 months. For 18 years prior, she had a solo dermatology practice in Concord, California. Dr. Villanueva received her medical degree from the University of the Philippines and a master’s of public health from the University of California at Berkeley. She completed a residency in dermatology at the Advanced Dermatology and Laser Center in San Diego, and trained in dermatopathology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She was also an International Fellow in Infectious Diseases with the World Health Organization and the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization.

Dr. Villanueva practices general dermatology and also provides cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology care. Fluent in English and Tagalog, Dr. Villanueva welcomes patients from all age groups. She currently sees patients Tuesday through Friday.
