Mohs micrographic surgery is a treatment procedure for skin
cancer performed by a surgical dermatologist in the office setting.

The Mohs Department is located in suite 304 of the
McHenry Medical Building, 1541 Florida Ave., Modesto, CA.

Blake Alexander, M.D.,
began his practice with McHenry Medical Group in July 2007, and is
Modesto's only full-time Mohs surgeon. Dr. Alexander graduated from
medical school at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and
completed a family practice residency at Southern Illinois
University. He subsequently completed a dermatology residency at
West Virginia University where he had further training in Mohs
surgery and began performing Mohs surgery in his own practice in
Pocatello, Idaho, in February 2005. Dr. Alexander is a diplomate of
the American Board of Dermatology and an associate member of the
American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Alexander lives in Modesto with his wife and two sons. He enjoys
outdoor sports and rides his bicycle to the office frequently
throughout the year.
